Social Development reiterates determination to increasing SASSA financial support

Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and dedication to bettering South African Social Security Company (SASSA) providers through an engagement along with the company's senior administrators in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled in the 2024 matric exams.
In the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% from the registered pupils within the training sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This means the investment national government is building from the life of poor and vulnerable little ones is yielding a optimistic impression in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe stated.
